Grieving loved ones often pleaded with Owen O'Neill to remove unused wheelchairs and hospital beds as the emptiness overwhelmed them. At first, Owen resisted, but when he eventually yielded, his effort expanded to include larger items, diligently delivering them to low-income clinic patients. 

And he hasn't stopped since.
